The surroundings are simply stunning, with well-maintained grounds that create a peaceful atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful parks and outdoor cinema, making it a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring Maastricht. Checking in was a breeze, and though the dining options had a few hiccups, the overall experience was quite enjoyable.

beautiful property, large castle grounds, charming common areas
The walk from the train station isn't safe at night due to poor lighting!!! Rooms feel cramped, lacking key amenities like a coffee machine or adequate shower supplies. Poor Wi-Fi connectivity inside the room is frustrating!!!

Vaeshartelt is a remarkable hotel set in beautiful grounds, providing a tranquil escape just outside Maastricht. The room was very spacious and comfortable, featuring modern design elements. Dining options were impressive, especially in the old ‘Fumoir’, where I enjoyed excellent meals. The breakfast offerings were diverse, with a mix of continental items and DIY fried eggs, adding a unique touch to my stay.

The property is absolutely stunning, with its well-preserved landscape architecture dating back to 1841 and picturesque walking trails. It’s easy to relish the historical ambiance and feel connected to the past while exploring the castle grounds.
If you're not driving, you're in for a surprise—there’s limited information about activities on-site, and the staff might not offer much help. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. it was mediocre at best, with overcooked eggs, lackluster bread, and fruit that looked like it came from a can. there's no coffee or tea setup in the room, which means relying on hotel dining exclusively. Plus, the entrance is a hassle for baggage trolleys due to gravel, and the sound insulation could certainly use improvement given the noise from the nearby airport and train.

Chur, the park grounds were stunning, heaps to enjoy. But we missed a coffee setup in the room and breakfast was pretty average overall.

The Comfort Plus Double Room was nice overall. Bed was comfy, and shower had good water pressure, which is always a win. But there were no coffee or tea facilities and the room felt a bit bare. It lacked some personal touches. Plus, the towels felt more like hand towels than bath towels, which wasn’t ideal. Just something to think about if you’re expecting a bit more luxury.
